TrueFlat is a factory-welded PVC membrane that stretches into an aluminum perimeter profile — seamless across spans up to 19'-8", without grid lines, joints, or visible fasteners. It installs directly over popcorn texture, water-damaged drywall, or aging drop ceilings. No demolition. No abatement. No dust.
Four steps, one working day.
Guestroom install takes 4 to 6 hours on site — a two-person crew completes 4 to 6 rooms per day. Measurement and factory fabrication happen 2 to 4 weeks before install day, so when the crew arrives, the membrane is already welded to your room's exact dimensions. Existing ceiling stays in place; the membrane stretches into an aluminum perimeter profile fixed to the wall.
Room dimensions are captured to 1/16" tolerance. PVC sheet is factory-welded to exact spec, never seamed on site.
Aluminum profile is fixed to the wall at the new ceiling height. Plenum depth is adjustable per project — 1" minimum.
Membrane is heated to 104°F and stretched into the profile on all four sides. Existing ceiling remains untouched above.
Perimeter is finished and the ceiling is tensioned flat. Lighting, sprinklers, and HVAC grilles integrate through engineered cutouts in the membrane.
